“JOHN 10:1-21 , PSALM 23:1-6”
Jesus gave a description of Himself as the Good Shepherd. Let’s go to see what a shepherd is by way of definition.
A shepherd is someone or a person who tends, herds, feed, or guards herds of sheep.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- He is to provide safety and welfare of the flock. The SHEPHERD will graze the animals, herding then to areas of good forage, and keeping a watchful eye out for poisonous plants.
Reference to the Luke 10:1-21 confirms that in the Old Testament Psalm 23:1-6
The responsibilities of the shepherd by way of the definition depict the characteristics of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for He laid down His life for the sheep (MANKIND). I will beseech us to read both texts provided for clarity.
Jesus has all the capacity to offer us the welfare package of a shepherd and even in abundance. You have no more time to waste but hurriedly run to Jesus and He will give you life in excess.
Let JESUS be your Shepherd in the period and the rest of your life. Merry Christmas
